This policy explains what personal information King Bear Squad (kingbearsquad.com, run by Erschen LLC, "we") collects, how we use it and who we share it with.

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and what you bought. Payments are processed by Shopify.
  • Personalization answers: what you send us to make a custom word search, a storybook or Their Life in Puzzles, such as names, a hometown, favorite things, family stories, a dedication and a hidden message. These can include a child's or another person's name and details that you choose to share.
  • Messages: what you send us through the contact form or by email.
  • Email sign-up: your email address, if you join our email list.
  • Browsing information: your device and browser, IP address, the pages you view and how you use the site, collected with cookies and similar tags (see below).

How we use it

  • To make and deliver your order: build your files, print and ship books, and email you about your order.
  • To answer your questions and fix problems.
  • To check orders for fraud.
  • To see how the site is used, and to measure and show ads for our products on other sites.
  • To keep the records we need for accounting and taxes.
  • To send news from King Bear Squad, only if you joined our email list. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We use personalization answers only to make your order. We do not use them for advertising, and we do not sell them.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify runs our store, checkout and payments, including Shop Pay. If you use Shop Pay or the Shop app, Shopify also handles your information under its own privacy policy: shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • Google: we use Gmail to receive your answers and to email you your files, and we list our products on Google and YouTube through Shopify's Google & YouTube channel.
  • Printers: for a printed order, we send the book file and your name and shipping address to the company that prints and mails it (Lulu for personalized books, Amazon KDP for Care Home Pack books).
  • Advertising and sales channels: our products can appear on Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram (Meta), TikTok and the Shop app. Our site uses the Pinterest tag, the Meta pixel and the TikTok pixel, which record visits, product views and purchases so these companies can measure and show ads.
  • PagePilot, a tool we use to build some of our pages, collects page-view statistics.
  • Amazon: our Our Books on Amazon page links to our books on Amazon.com (see "Amazon links, Pinterest and cookies" below).
  • Anyone we must share it with by law, or to protect our rights.

Cookies and similar tags

Shopify sets cookies that keep your cart, checkout and login working and that measure site traffic. The Pinterest, Meta, TikTok and PagePilot tags listed above, and Amazon when you follow one of our Amazon links, may also set or read cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout need Shopify's cookies to work. Shopify lists its cookies at shopify.com/legal/cookies.

Amazon links, Pinterest and cookies

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Some pages on kingbearsquad.com link to books and products on Amazon.com. When you visit this site or click one of those links, third parties, including Amazon, Pinterest and other advertisers, may serve content and advertisements, collect information directly from visitors, and place or recognize cookies on your browser. Amazon and Pinterest explain how they use that information in their own privacy notices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based ads from many advertisers at optout.aboutads.info.

Your choices and rights

  • You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing us.
  • We do not sell personal information for money. Some US state laws treat advertising tags like the ones above as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out by blocking cookies, by changing the ad settings in your Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok account, or at optout.aboutads.info.
  • If you live in the European Economic Area or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Our store is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Parents, grandparents and other adults may give us a child's name and details to personalize a storybook or puzzle, and we use them only to make that order. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as we need them for your order and for accounting and tax purposes. Once your order is complete, you can ask us to delete your personalization answers and your finished files.

Where it is stored

We are based in the United States. Our service providers store information in the United States and in other countries.

Security

Card payments are processed by Shopify, and we never see your full card number. No way of storing or sending information online is completely secure.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new date.
